S3EP Certification Exam
Basic Exam
The Basic Exam is a required component of the S3EP Certification. Specifically, candidates for the earlier levels: AS3EP, DSS3EP, and DGS3EP.
Candidates pursuing these certifications must complete the 60-question, multiple-choice, closed-book exam with a passing score to satisfy the exam requirement.

Advanced Exam
The Advanced Exam is a required component of the senior level certifications: CS3EP and ES3EP.
Candidates pursuing these certifications must complete the 100-question, multiple-choice, closed-book exam with a passing score to satisfy the exam requirement.

Passing Score
A scaled passing score of 70% is required for the Basic Exam and 72% for the Advanced Exam. Scores are reported as a scaled score on a range of 0–100. Parallax Cyber Academy (PCA) reserves the right to apply minor statistical equating adjustments across exam forms to ensure fairness across administrations; the published passing threshold reflects the adjusted standard.
